Ah, Fall Break has arrived! Things have been so busy lately, it is so wonderful to be able to take a break and kick back. Unfortunately, fall break means that campus pretty much empties out, which does make for a pretty lonely 5 days :( When you live over 1500 miles away, you can't just home for every short break and long weekend, especially with the prices of gas and airline tickets these days! But I don't mind too much, and honestly some good R&R was just what I needed! After the craziness of the play ended up I decided to go ahead and throw myself into even more craziness and audition for another one! Oy, when will I ever have some free time?! But I'm very excited to be a part of this project. This play, Ripped, was written by Rockhurst's own tremendously talented J.Q. Sirls, and so far is scheduled for ONE
PERFORMANCE ONLY! So make sure not to miss it!
Anyways, back to fall break and all its glory! Coming home to an empty house after a shortened biology class the other night wasn't my favorite thing. When you have six roommates, you never get used to be alone! It was even pretty scary, and after one particular incident in which a door I swore I locked suddenly became unlocked and a stream of spooky noises occurred upstairs, a friend of mine courageously offered his time to come and bravely search my townhouse for ghosts and ghoulies! My fear probably wasn't helped much by the fact that we've began decorating for Halloween!
However things have gotten much better since that fretful night, and I really have been enjoying this break, though I do miss everyone quite a bit! It has been amazing to sleep late, spend my days watching cheesy t.v. and catching up with friends from home and homework! I don't want these relaxing days to end, but once everyone returns and the craziness resumes, I know I'll get back into the swing of it all!

ah, the fun we have!
