What a beautiful day this day has turned out to be! After a week full of chilly weather and a Wednesday full of rain, today is a great relief :). The sun is shinning and the weather is the perfect mix between fall and end of summer. I love days like this! I'm not good with dealing with cold weather, and gray winter days full of dirty snow are not my favorite things. I'm so glad to have these days of sunshine! Though, I have to admit, the way the weather is here in the Midwest it can kind of drive you crazy. You never know what to expect!

"It's gonna be a bright, bright, bright, bright sunshiny day!"
Despite the crazy whether, this week at Rockhurst has been a good one. Roommates and friends returned from their fall break destinations on Sunday, alleviating my fall break blues! Midterm grades came out yesterday and I was glad to discover that I'm doing just fine. Continuing with grades, I got a paper I wrote a few weeks ago for Shakespeare Seminar back today and I got an A on it! I've also been trying to figure out my schedule for next semester, as the class lists have been posted. In other, maybe more exciting news, two of my roommates, Hannah Kellison, Julia Saucedo and I joined an intermural soccer team with a friend of ours, Jenna Engler! We haven't started yet, but apparently our team was around last year and did quite well. Our name is the "McDreamies," so all you Grey's Anatomy fans, this is the team to cheer for! Tonight, after work meetings and biology labs get done with, a very good friend of mine from home is flying in, and I can't wait to see him! Some of my roommates and I are driving to the airport later to pick him up and he is staying until Sunday afternoon. We've known each other for quite awhile, and also came to visit last year. Here is a silly picture of us during his visit last fall!
