Rehearsal has taken over my life for the third time this year! Yet again my days are filled with class and getting homework doing, and my nights and sometimes weekends consists of spending hours in Mabee theatre, working on lines, blocking and internalizing this character and this play. Overall, I have a strong feeling about this play, as it has an important message and tells stories and truths I think everyone needs to here. So, if you're in the area, be sure to come out, this week and weekend, and appreciate all the hard work of so many Rockhurst students, and some hard working faculty as well! February 28-March 2nd!
As my life has been quite hectic and busy with all mentioned above, my free time these past weeks consists mainly of those normal day to day activities, you know, the necessities in life like sleeping in eating! Meal times have definitely been a change for me this year compared to last year, as instead of dining in the cafeteria, pub, or Planet Sub, I eat most of my meals at home, cooking them myself. Though the convenience of having a meal plan is something I do miss, especially in busy times like these, I enjoy the variety and Independence of living in a townhouse and utilizing my very own full kitchen. However, whether you're cooking your own meals in your own little home or grabbing something with your meal points, eating in college provides the opportunity to not only eat what you want (or, what is available that day), but also to create the feeling of family dinner, eating with friends or roommates and joying no only the food but the conversation and company as well.
