This past weekend was quite a relief to the stress of this semester. One of my roommate's mothers came into town Thursday evening and took some of us out to dinner at Buca di Beppo in the plaza. It was a nice break to campus and townhouse dining! Friday afternoon Rockhurst Players hosted auditions for Theatreworks, a grouping of one act plays completely produced by students. I went to the auditions with my good friend Kristi Hayes and we were lucky to be cast in a play together! This year I am in two of the one act plays, one a comedy about a bride who cheats on her groom with the best man, another a satire of 1950's propaganda films. Both should be fun to act in and hopefully as equally entertaining to watch. This year Theaterworks consists of about seven one acts and is being held the nights of April 17 and 18. The rest of my weekend was also quite fun and relaxing. Friday night the fraternity of Alpha Delta Gamma hosted a "90's party" complete with funky costumes, a DJ, and dance off between the backstreets boys and NSYNC. The night was very fun and entertaining. The rest of my weekend was quite relaxing ad I worked on homework and hung out with friends. Now I'm back into my busy schedule of the week, going to classes, rehearsals, meetings and doing homework. That's college for you!
